Privacy Policy
Summary
Hands-Off Timer is a local utility for consecutive countdown timers on iPhone (iOS 26+). Timer chains and run state stay on your device. The app does not require an account and does not intentionally send your timer data to our servers.
Data we collect
We do not collect personal data from the app for analytics, advertising, accounts, or cloud sync.
- Timer chains and settings are stored locally on your device.
- Alarms use Apple’s AlarmKit on-device. System alarm UI is provided by iOS.
- Live Activities / Dynamic Island countdown UI is system UI on your device.
We do not operate an account system, cloud backup of chains, or third-party analytics/ads SDKs in the current version.
Data used by the system (Apple)
Apple may process data as described in Apple’s privacy policy when you use system features (notifications, AlarmKit, Live Activities, App Store). That processing is controlled by Apple, not by a Hands-Off Timer backend.
Permissions
On first Start (or as required by iOS), the app may request alarm-related permission so step-end alarms can present until you tap OK. Permission copy intent:
Hands-Off Timer alarms when each step ends so you don’t miss the handoff — the next timer keeps running.
Children’s privacy
The app is a general utility (expected age rating 4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If a future version adds accounts, sync, analytics, or other collection, this policy and the App Store Privacy Nutrition Label will be updated before that version ships.
